MinuteView 2.1 · Current Release

Built on a Modern Core

The current MinuteView release

Building on the 2.0 Automations platform, version 2.1 re-bases the MinuteView server on modern .NET Core and delivers the next major wave of functionality across the platform - from new execution capabilities and workflow tooling to a richer Capture experience and enterprise login.

A Modern Platform Foundation

At the heart of 2.1 is a move to modern .NET Core, alongside powerful new ways for Automations to run work.

Modern .NET Core Foundation

Major Update

The single biggest shift in 2.1 is architectural: the MinuteView server has moved from the legacy .NET Framework to modern .NET Core.

  • A modern, well-supported, long-lived technology foundation
  • Improved performance, scalability, and resource efficiency across the platform
  • More flexible deployment options and access to the latest tooling and libraries
  • A future-proofed codebase that lets us build and ship new capabilities faster

This modernises the entire MinuteView platform, giving us a faster, more scalable base to build on for years to come.

New Execution Capabilities

New

The Automations engine gains powerful new ways to run and manage work.

  • Browser automation for interacting with web-based systems
  • Job spawning and job resuming for more flexible, long-running processes
  • Agent spawning to orchestrate distributed work

Automations can now reach further and run more sophisticated, resilient processes than ever before.

Faster, Easier Workflow Building

New workflow nodes and a refined builder make designing automation quicker and more intuitive.

New

New Workflow Nodes

A range of new workflow nodes expands what you can build and makes common patterns quicker to assemble.

  • More building blocks for creating and composing workflows
  • Faster assembly of common automation patterns
  • Greater flexibility in what a single workflow can accomplish

Building capable automation takes fewer steps and less effort than before.

Enhanced

Easier Workflow Builder

The workflow-building experience has been refined to make designing automation more intuitive.

  • Drag-and-drop variable placement for faster, clearer configuration
  • A cleaner, more approachable builder interface
  • A number of quality-of-life enhancements throughout the designer

Designing workflows is more intuitive, so users can go from idea to working automation faster.

A Richer Capture Review Experience

Capture markups are more powerful and transparent - and that traceability now carries all the way through to published documents.

Enhanced

Rich Markup Experience

Capture's markup environment delivers a more powerful, collaborative review experience.

  • A full markup browser showing every current markup at a glance
  • User attribution on every markup - see exactly who marked up what
  • Search within markups and captures to quickly locate specific annotations
  • Jump directly to content within drawings to find and update elements faster

Reviewers get complete visibility over the markup process, making multi-person reviews faster and more transparent.

New

PDF Comment Integration

When a Capture is completed, markups are embedded directly into the published PDF as attributed comments.

  • Markups inserted as native PDF comments with full user attribution
  • Traceability maintained not only within MinuteView but also in the published document
  • Recipients can view review comments without needing access to MinuteView
  • A complete audit trail from review through to final published output

Every comment is traceable from capture all the way through to publication.

Enterprise Login

Version 2.1 expands how users can securely sign in to MinuteView.

Active Directory Login

New

MinuteView now supports Microsoft Active Directory (on-premises AD) login, making it easier for organisations to integrate MinuteView into their existing IT environment.

  • Authenticate with the same credentials users already have across the organisation
  • A login experience aligned with existing corporate policies
  • Reduced friction for onboarding and day-to-day access

Users sign in with their existing organisational identity - reducing friction and strengthening security posture.
